Burn Permits Required, May 1, 2026

Burn Permits are required for the Fall River Valley Fire Protection District and surrounding areas in Shasta and Lassen County.

To receive a permit if you live in the Fall River Valley Fire District:

Be sure and check if it is a permissible burn day.

Follow the conditions of the permit, keep burn piles small and manageable, use good judgement and check the weather forecast before burning.

If you live in Shasta or Lassen County outside of the district you will need a
burn permit through the state website.
