Burn Permits

The Fall River Valley Fire District covers portions of both Lassen and Shasta Counties.

To obtain a burn permit within the Fall River Valley Fire Protection District contact Jonathon Sims inspector@frvfiredistrict.org  Please provide the following information: Name, Phone #, email address, mailing address and the physical address where you intend to burn.

Residential burn permits are required beginning May 1st of the year.

Prior to burning, you must ensure that it is a permissive burn day by calling:
Shasta County, Call (530) 224-8777 - Lassen County, Call (530) 257-2876

Follow the conditons of the permit, keep burn piles small and manageable, use good judgement and check the weather forecast before burning.

It is also your responsibility to ensure that burning has not been- suspended due to fire danger.
